So everybody  asks where do I eat, stay , shop... Where do the locals love. So here is random list of things and places I love in Florence. Completly personal and ever changing.

Good Eats

(this least could be exhaustive so I change it all the time!)

The gelateria at Pointe Carraia - my favorite in Florence

Theatro Del Sale - Set Menu and a lot of fun

Cafe Pitti - Lunch with a view

Hemingway - Chocolate Desserts

Ora D’Aria - Amazing Modern Tuscan - my favorite in Florence

Fagoli - Great classic Tuscan near Santa Croce

Good Sleep

Florence has a ton to offer in this area but for a good value for money in the center I like the Bargello B & B Run by Canadian born Gabriella it’s got great customer service and  it’s within walking distance of everything. Beautiful veiws from the rooftop terrace as well.  The climb up the stairs is worth the walk.

Shopping

Forget the outlets and shop to your hearts content in the Artisian center of Oltrano just over the Pointe Vecchio. Here you can see artisians at work in their workshops and pick up one of a kind designer keepsakes. My personal 2 favorite shops in the area: Casini- right across from Pitti Palace. Jennifer designs and artisanally  produces  all the products so a great place to pick up high end pieces. r La Zebra on Via Romana. Studio is in the store and you can often see him hand printing fabrics!
